Do show us the real you!

I haven't posted anything new for a while now, partly because I haven't feeling like myself and mainly because I wasn't inspired by anything lately. Fortunately, yesterday while I was hanging out with some friends I decided exactly what my next post is going to be about.
To be honest with you, I was hoping for a more positive subject; less cynical. However, when it came down to it I couldn't see the silver lining.
April was a very gloomy month; contrary to what I had expected. Many of the people I know, including myself, have had issues with other people; friends, co-workers, family members, etc. It's anything but new; I know everyone has to go through this. This is life. This is how you're supposed to learn. "What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger." Yet, I still wonder and even hope for change. Seeing that friends have no problem what so ever in backstabbing their friends, or colleagues betraying each other just to get ahead, and even family members going at it just because. I don't need to elaborate further more; I guess you get the picture. However, what I need to elaborate on more is the reason behind all this?
After a bit of research, asking people, talking and more talking about this, I realized that yes it is caused by "Jealousy" but no; it's not always the case. A lot of people blame jealousy on everything, but I think sometimes it's not always personal. Some people have issues with their own selves that they find impossible to deal with on a personal level, therefore they turn to others. Exhibit A: When a friend ruins their friend's chances of gaining something. Looking at this very simple example I conclude that first of all, this person is jealous for sure. This person is also suffering from low self esteem, which has to be compensated in seeing other people close to him/her fail. In their head, seeing someone close to them fail gives them a sense of triumph. Something like this is probably going through their mind "Hey, my dreams are not exactly turning out as I hoped, so I don't care if yours do. Actually I would mind a lot if they do."
Exhibit B: friend#1: I need your help with something.
friend #2: Oh, I can't. (I totally can, but I don’t wanna)
friend #1: I didn’t even ask you yet!
friend #2: Yeah, I know but I'm really busy with my own life.(Not really)
How the example above is is related to the subject?
Well, if a friend refuses to be there for you then what kind of a friend is he/she? After all what are friends for, right? If they're not willing to compromise their time for you, then why are they there? Of course, there are exceptions to every rule. I'm just saying…
There are plenty of other examples, not only about friends but people who work together and actually hate each other while pretending that they don't. Can you please not do that? Don't you know when someone begins to hate you, and not wishes you well? I know I do. If you're trying to act friendly for the sake of work, we appreciate that, but try to go easy on the backstabbing.
I don't want to keep on talking about what I think, and how I feel. I want to hear what you have to say. I'm sure you all have some experiences you don't mind sharing.

CARAMEL WITH THAT, MAM? MAM? MAM MAM?

At some point, Coffee shops must realize that Greeting and Marketing strategies should have some kind of limits. (AKA don't over do it)!!!

I read an article today about the most annoying people at Starbucks.. and It reminded me of a very funny/weird/annoying situation that happened to us so many times!

The other day, F.D and I passed by Starbucks (Which I love so much) to grab coffee, instead of ordering your coffee in peace, you have to deal with "Heeeeeeeello ladies! How are you? Looking good today! What would you like to have for coffee? What can we get you today? Need to try our new promotion drink? You do! I think we ALL could use one, ye we could! YES WE COULD! HI! WELCOME TO STARBUCKS!!! do you want Caramel with that Mam? Whip cream Mam? Extra Caramel Mam? Do you want some water Mam? Perhaps some muffins, Mam?"

For the love of god. DON'T OVER DO IT.

Girls Are Weird

I was listening to the BS Report podcast this morning, and Bill Simmons (the BS) was talking about how his wife got on his case for thinking a woman from the Real Housewives of New York (LouAnn) was attractive.

He said that, and now every time she's on the screen, his wife points her out as "his girl." It doesn't end there.

The guest on the show, Dave Jacoby, tells him a story about how his fiance is confused how he can be attracted to both Audrina Partridge from The Hills and her. First off, Dave Jacoby's fiance, have you seen Audrina

Secondly, as Dave Jacoby and Bill Simmons put it, we're men. We're attracted to almost anything. If my girlfriend looks like Rachel Bilson (one can dream), it doesn't mean I don't find Bar Rafaeli hot (and the reverse shiksa effect is complete!).

Here's what I don't get about some girls? Why do you feel threatened when a guy tells you he thinks a girl is hot? You should really be worried if he doesn't tell you. The guy felt like he should share something (and don't you girls always nag us about sharing?) and you pay him back by attacking him? Damn. It's like you're doomed if you do, doomed if you don't. (Women: the original Catch-22.)

Personally, I love it when a girl doesn't feel threatened and points out that she thinks a girl is hot (which is another sort of argument because girls apparently don't know what's hot). I like a girl who, when I tell her I think so-and-so is hot, she isn't threatened to the point where we end up debating the merits of her hotness.

Now, if a girl isn't threatened to the point where she goes, "Bodie, dude, check out the rack on that one!", that right there is proposal material.

However, I don't think such a girl exists.

That's why I'm single, baby!

It's A Bird, It's A Plane... It's Super Douche!

DISCLAIMER: This post is going to be vile, icky, and contain lots of swear words in an attempt to tickle your funny bone. If you are offended, please don't read this or comment about the facts that I already know. If you love reading about douche bags doing douchey things, read on.

I read a post the other day about Cristiano Ronaldo, Kim Kardashian and her awesome arse joining forces in what is known in these circles as a romantic dalliance. While the thought of Ronaldo hooking up with Kim isn't really surprising (he's famous and easy on the eyes for females, she's famous and easy on the eyes for males), I would call it something else.

That shit is pretty scary.

Before you say "Yeah, Bodie, you're a Barcelona fan. You never want what's good for Madrid guys," I'll say that while, you are right, think about this for a second.

Here's a girl whose claim to fame is that Ray J. sex tape. She went on to parade naked in other endeavors and is pretty much known for her partying skills. So to say she's been around the block isn't saying much.

Now, for the other side of this douche power couple.

Cristiano Ronaldo. The dude hasn't met a girl he hasn't turned down (well except for Lauren Conrad). He prefers girls of the overweight persuasion  because, "they s*ck better."

By the way, to cement his status as "World's biggest douchebag," he told this to a girl while she was doing the deed.

You may think I'm hating because I'm jealous, but I'm just warning you people. If they're allowed to copulate, the ramifications of this are scary.

Let's not forget this story:

There once was an athlete whose sexual escapades rivaled that of Cristiano Ronaldo's. No woman was immune. His list of girlfriends included Scarlett Johannsen, Jessica Beil, Adriana Lima, Mariah Carey, and Jessica Alba. (If you ask me, that's a more impressive list than CR9's, who so far includes Paris Hilton and a slew of Spanish TV personalities, along with the fatty from above.)

He lived in New York and was adored by almost everyone. If his team won, he was praised. If they lost, it wasn't his fault.

The guy, Derek Jeter, had it made.

Of course, Derek Jeter also gave Jessica Alba herpes.

With that in mind, what do you think those two clowns are capable of?

Please stop this or we're going to be subjected to a strain of STD so severe, it'll make the blackout from FlashForward (which still sucks) look like a dream.

Stop C. Kard for the love of mankind.

Think Café

Think Cafe's Cupcakes are definitely one of my new biggest obsessions. During my work lunch break, I go to Think Cafe to have my green tea and have some cupcakes. :D

The cupcakes I tried are Mixed Berries, and German Cake Cupcakes. They also have Chocolate mousse, and Oreo.

I also recently tried their Green Tea - Roobiyos Tea with Strawberry and Vanillla (Organic Tea). I'm most definitely going back to have some more of that.

Furthermore, they have a business area, computers and a meeting room (very smart idea) - For the meeting room its 15KD/ Coffee included.

I Love Cupcakes!

Bess Fool Bess Felafel

Two days ago, I received an email about a new restaurant called Bess Fooll Bess Felafel.

Dear Customers,,

Bess Fooll
Bess Felafel

"A traditional Mediterranean concept that serves 100% fresh "Fooll" and "Falafel" sandwiches on homemade bread, all made on order for a simply yet highly nutritious snack. Located in strategic areas including the Sharq Vegetables market Kuwait, this concept caters to all tast buds, and is the perfect snack for boat trips, business lunches, or any social gathering, a perfect snack for vegans."

For Delivery Please Contact: +965 22 45 28 46
email: info@victusfood.com
website: www.victusfood.com

I love Falafel for breakfast, I ordered and gave it a try this morning accordingly.

We ordered 2 dozen Felafel platers, 2 sandwiches (one with Lebanese bread and the other one with Egyptian bread). I am very picky when it comes to whats within the sandwich, and I wanted to make sure the guy who takes the order deliver what I exactly asked for. I was sure he wasn't listening because he was taking the order very quickly and didn't repeat the things I asked for (No salad but cucumber (said it 3 times), No Tomato ... etc). So anyways, I had to tell him at the end; "Sir make sure the sandwich comes exactly how i asked for cause otherwise I'm returning the order". He freaked out and took the order again only to tell me we don't have cucumber anyways! This pissed me off cause I repeated it 3 times only to find out he wasn't listening.

Anyhow, we received the order in less than an hour, right on time!

Everyone agreed on the following; It is one of the best tasting felafel we've ever tried!

Cheers!

iPhone 4G

Some pictures of the new iPhone 4 have been released on Gizmodo.com!

they also highlighted What's new and What's changed as follows;

What's new

• Front-facing video chat camera
• Improved regular back-camera (the lens is quite noticeably larger than the iPhone 3GS)
• Camera flash
• Micro-SIM instead of standard SIM (like the iPad)
• Improved display. It's unclear if it's the 960x640 display thrown around before—it certainly looks like it, with the "Connect to iTunes" screen displaying much higher resolution than on a 3GS.
• What looks to be a secondary mic for noise cancellation, at the top, next to the headphone jack
• Split buttons for volume
• Power, mute, and volume buttons are all metallic

What's changed

• The back is entirely flat, made of either glass (more likely) or ceramic or shiny plastic in order for the cell signal to poke through. Tapping on the back makes a more hollow and higher pitched sound compared to tapping on the glass on the front/screen, but that could just be the orientation of components inside making for a different sound
• An aluminum border going completely around the outside
• Slightly smaller screen than the 3GS (but seemingly higher resolution)
• Everything is more squared off
• 3 grams heavier
• 16% Larger battery
• Internals components are shrunken, miniaturized and reduced to make room for the larger battery

Burger House - Dubai

During my visit to Dubai, My dear friend S and the girls suggested lunch @ the Burger House. "I will not allow you to leave Dubai without trying this place", S Said. Ofcourse, I would never say no to a burger place.
OK, so maybe i'm guilty of eating unreal food "occasionally". But that itself is just keeping it real, yo.

We sat outside, the weather was awesome.

Remember my recent obsession with Guacamole? Yeah so as soon as I glanced "Guacamole" in the Menu, I knew the burger I wanted to order. (Caliente Tex-Mex Burger)

I didn't take a picture of everything, but here is some of what the girls ordered..

After the weather changed to being very windy and tissues started to fly around, we decided to continue eating indoors.

And Finally, ladies and gents, my great juicy burger arrives...

Conclusion: MUST-TRY/Extreme Yummyness!

Cheers!

FJ
